Not just an AI Tool
A Court Guidance Engine
At it’s core, George is a deterministic, jurisdiction-specific legal decision tree; structured logic built from Virginia law and court procedures that captures the self-represented litigants situation, identifies where they are in the process, and generates a clear, personalized plan.
AI handles the conversation. The decision tree handles law. the result is navigational guidance that is accurate, traceable, and grounded in Virginia law.
GEORGE IS:
Court-adjacent and court-aligned
Complementary to legal aid and existing programs
Virginia-native, built on Virginia law
A Virginia Public Benefit Corporation
Free to self-represented litigants
Administered by institutional governance
GEORGE IS NOT:
A law firm or legal services provider
A replacement for legal-aid
An advocacy engine
For represented parties

Stakeholders
George is a Public Benefit Corporation built to scale a solution to one of the most persistent and well-documented gaps in American civil justice.
Our Mission
“To improve access to justice for self-represented litigants in civil proceedings by providing accurate, accessible and court-adjacent procedural guidance through responsible use of artificial intelligence.”
George is organized as a Public Benefit Corporation (PBC), a legal designation that formally binds the company to pursue a defined public mission alongside, and sometimes ahead of, financial returns.
Unlike traditional corporations, a PBC is legally required to balance the interests of shareholders with the broader public good, and to operate with transparency and accountability toward that mission. For institutional partners, this structure offers meaningful assurance: George cannot be pivoted or optimized away from its core purpose of expanding access to justice for self-represented litigants.
Partnership with George is partnership with an organization whose values are embedded in its governance, not just its marketing.
